St Peter & St Paul's Newsletter - November 2022

Letter from Revd Helen Burnett.

Although it is unseasonably warm as I write this, or maybe precisely because it is unseasonably warm this newsletter comes as a reminder to remember…

November is the month of remembrance, remembering Guy Fawkes on November 5th, remembering the Two World Wars on November 11th. Although problematic, there is of course Thanksgiving on November 24th if you are American, and then at the end of the month we are remembering Lost Species and St Andrew on November 30th.

Coming the week after we have celebrated All Saints and All Souls, what will you remember this November?

  • Loved ones
  • Holidays
  • Sunshine
  • Walks
  • Good times
  • Bad times

Add your own remembrances here……….

Or maybe, like the squirrels seen in the woodland near my house, you are busy scurrying around making sure the supplies are in for the winter.

Whatever is occupying you this November, wherever your mind is, take time to stop, pause and remember what really matters to you in life and maybe remember and repeat these words from Paul’s letter to the Corinthians:

So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13 .v.13.
